John Sculley Annual Community Engagement Award

Congratulations to Steve Schreuder - the 2022 winner of the John Sculley Community Engagement Award - a perpetual trophy that will honour those who go over and above to bring together our Colts community.

Steve wandered into the club in around 2015 and said he would like to become involved. He didn’t have a child to register at that time as his oldest daughter wasn’t interested and his youngest daughter was too young but he put his hand up and said he would help coach the girls.
He also took an interest in making sure we were offering great food and beverages on match days and at our social events and keeping costs down so we could make decent revenue from our canteen.
Steve took our girls to their first-ever premiership win – a huge achievement for our club and ensured player retention was at an all-time high.
He was very involved in our pavilion redevelopment and attended countless meetings to ensure our canteen, social rooms and facilities for our girls were state of the art and a community hub and a place for families to feel at home.
But one of the things that embodied John Sculley’s community spirit the most is the way Steve embraced the concept of dads' football and helped develop and maintain to this day the thriving network of dads that are part of our dad's footy group and many of whom volunteer at our club and are on our committee.

Thanks to our amazing sponsors who do so much for the club... Please support them as much as you can!
