Auskick to Junior Footy in 2023 - everything you need to know

We would like to extend an invitation to our 2022 Auskickers and families to join the Port Melbourne Colts Junior Football Club and continue to share your footy experience with us in season 2023.

I’ve been a committee volunteer at our club for 8 years and President for the past season. I love being a part of the Port Melbourne Colts Junior Football Club and I look forward to leading the Club in 2023 alongside a dedicated volunteer team of Committee and Club officials.

We are a destination club for girls’ football and have had enormous success with our girls’ teams including a premiership and two AFLW players!

We have appointed a Girls Football Coordinator for 2022/2023 - Paul Perret. Paul has coached our U14 girls’ team in 2022 to a Division 1 Premiership and is passionate about girls' footy, with 3 daughters and a son who plays at our club. We also have our Girls Coaching Director Mel Kuys who has played both AFLW and VFLW and is the coach of our U18 Girls.

Season 2023 aims to see us field teams in all age groups and continue our Port South alliance with South Melbourne Districts Junior Football Club and Port Saints alliance with St Kilda City JFC for some of our older age groups.

We are fortunate to have a brilliant team of Coaches and Team Officials who have been managing our teams to the highest standard. It will be an exciting day come Round 1 in April next year to see all our players take to the field again – but especially our U8 mixed, and U10 Girls play ‘real footy’ for the first time.

We look forward to seeing all of our families enjoy the on and off-field experience at the Club next season. Please join in our social activities, our regular family night dinners on Wednesday nights after training, and any events or opportunities that the season presents.

Our committee is inspired by seeing our families happy and engaged. This is your Club to be proud of. We want you to enjoy being a part of our footy club as much as we do.

We pride ourselves on being a family-friendly, fun, and fair club with an inclusive and welcoming committee, so please if you have any questions or concerns about registering or the footy season itself, check in with us. We’re all very receptive to feedback and our aim is to continue improving our great club for many generations to continue to enjoy.
