REGISTRATIONS FOR 2021 ARE NOW OPEN
NEW MEMBERS – Please click on the “New Member” tab under the “NEW MEMBERS” heading if you are a brand new member to this Community Club and have never played for any other Community Club or participated in Auskick.
CURRENT MEMBERS – Please click on the name(s) you wish to register/update for this season. You don't need to select anything unless you wish to contribute to the building fund.
We are intending to field teams in the following age groups:
- Mixed U8, U9, U10, U11, U12
- Girls U10, U12
- Boys U13, U14, U15, U16, U17 & Girls U14, U16 and U18 Youth Girls register as Bolts - our Alliance team with South Melbourne.
Early Registrations (before 31 Jan 2021) receive a pair of training shorts.
All registrations include your child's name on their Port Colts training top if registration is lodged by 31 January 2021.
Given the difficult events of 2020 for many our families, we wanted to ensure that we kept our fees for 2021 the same as 2020.
In most instances, we have done this, however there has been an increase in playing fees for those playing in our alliance teams (South Districts).
This is a direct result of the increased level of coaching that is provided at these age levels and acknowledges the fact that there is a transition from parents helping with coaching to paying coaches for their time and experience that they bring to the role. We are convinced that this benefit far out weighs the additional cost and will see our U13 and above players, thrive and succeed into the future.
You will also be able to purchase additional merchandise items online directly with our merchandise supplier. A link can be found on the website.
The minimum cut off age for the 2021 season is 7 - so any child born after 30 April 2014 will unfortunately not be eligible to play in 2021.
Children born after 30 April 2014 are welcome to join our Auskick program. Our club does not have any flexibility in this AFL and SMJFL minimum age cut off. Please register directly via the following link - https://play.afl/auskick/2021-registration.
Proof of age is required for all new players before registration is confirmed (i.e.: email a scanned copy of passport or birth certificate; alternatively bring original to first night of training for sighting). Confirmation of players transferring from other clubs is also subject League transfer protocols and caps/limits.
All existing players registering for 2021 will receive a club-branded training top. Registration for existing Colts players in 2021 is still $280.
If existing players registering in 2021 require shorts, socks or a game day bag, these are available for purchase.
We also have family pricing with your second registration being $230 and third and additional children at $180.
For Bolts players, there is a flat $355 per player.
All new registrations for 2021 will receive two pairs of SMJFL and club-branded shorts (blue for home games, and white for away games), SMJFL and club-branded football socks, hoodie and a club-branded kit bag. Registration for new players in 2021 will be $320 in total. You will also receive training shorts if you register before 21 Jan 2021.
Further details of season 2021 will be published on our website www.portcoltsjuniorfootballclub.com.au and communicated in newsletters well before pre-season training starts in February 2021.
Our club has a strong focus on family values, and provides boys and girls a sense of pride and belonging within their teams, the club and their local community. Our club values include teamwork, respect, effort and improvement - and our coaching philosophy is underpinned by a priority on developing every player to their potential.
Our club is run by volunteers, enabling us to provide significant value to all our players, families and the community. Every family is expected to assist with rostered duties throughout the year. Further detail on our club philosophies, values, expectations, policies, key dates and rostered duties will be published on the website and communicated in regular newsletters - whilst dates and times of training and games will be via the Teamstuff app.
