Match Report Round 6 - Sunday May 20th

U16 girls vs Oakleigh

The girls had a good fight, considering being 9 players down. Running non stop and working hard, with a brilliant game in particular by Phoebe, we didn't get the win, but still looking positive for the rest of the season. Congratulations to Leila on her first game. She has excellent skills and pace and is a great addition to the team!!!

U16 girls vs East Malvern

Up for the toughest challenge yet against ladder leaders East Malvern, the team went into the game focusing on playing our style and applying defensive pressure. It was a tough match against a highly skillful team, but I am so proud as a coach that the girls did everything I asked and while going down to them, they were able to keep the opposition to their lowest score so far.
Well done girls!!!

Match Report Round 2 - Sunday April 22nd v East Brighton

What a stunning day for our round 2 clash against East Brighton.
Welcoming 2 new players, Ellie and Ali, the girls were excited to get out there and run. Once again our defensive pressure was ruthless, and we kept it in our forward for majority of the game. Ellie made an amazing start to her football career with 2 goals, and some great midfield and forward line work, with more goals to Zoe O'Connell, saw the girls wrap up a convincing win, 47 to 6.
Well done girls, and thank you to all family who helped on the day!!

Match Report Round 1 - Sunday April 15th v Mordi-Braeside

In very season welcoming conditions... our girls were fired up from the start to get out there and showcase their skills.
The first quarter saw Mordi Brae score a goal fairly quickly. From then on, our girls adjusted well, and with  some of the best pressure I have seen, reduced the opposition to just that one goal.  With some great movement of the ball and marking in the slippery conditions, we capitalised on the opportunities to run away with a 16 point win.
A fantastic effort by everyone!!
Thank you to parents who helped out!

Coach Tash  ✌
