Training Arrangements

A solid block of pre-match footy and running training is critical for each player to maximise their footy skills, fitness and enjoyment - and our program reflects significant investment of time and effort from club committee and coaches.  All players are expected to attend all sessions unless precluded by school commitments, summer sports, genuine illness or holidays away from Melbourne. Please notify team managers if there is any reason why your child will not be at training.

Training will commence in week of February 13.

Wednesday night family dinners

Our family dinner nights are on every Wednesday night during the footy season from 5.30pm in the clubrooms.

Families are encouraged to enjoy a night off cooking and enjoy a hearty and budget friendly meal in our clubrooms with their team mates. Take home dinners are also available. 

Monday night running sessions:

  • Join us at 6:15pm sharp to 6:45pm
  • Meet us at J.L. Murphy Reserve
  • Running sessions caters to ALL levels of fitness (7 to 77 year olds), and families are encouraged to join the kids running (or walking) the same path.
  • No footballs.
  • Please be there ready to run at 6:15pm sharp so we finish by 6:45pm!

Be prepared for training

  • Wear footy boots from April onwards
  • Bring a drink bottle, and your mouth guard / no mouth guard = no training!
  • Please be there 15 minutes beofre the opfficial start time and warm up so you are ready to go by the allotted start time!
